Network Hard drive?

I have an 8 year old WD Network Hard Drive that I can't log on from one of my computers that I have log on in the past. I get an error message (go.microsoft.com/fwink/?linkid=852747) When I put in the link I get a 401 error code. It worked before so do I need to buy a new one?

It is attached to a router so I can use 4 computers to store on one hard drive. On amazon they have a Network Hard drive but I don't understand the USB 3. The site on amazon is WDBVXC0040HWT the first drive for $169 for 4 TB?

Did you check that setting for smb1 though? It still might be pertinent.

The usb port is to import files from flash drives, etc. You would use the included ethernet cable to attach it to your router.

I'm not sure how to check setting for the SMB1? Wouldn't it be better to see if I can make it a SMB2? If I bought the Network drive that I put in my last post wouldn't I get SMB2?
