AVI to DVD Format HELP ME!!

Does anyone out there know of a place I can download a program for converting AVI to DVD format.
Note- It needs to be free!
Please help me!!

For a free encoder, your best bet would be QuEnc, which you can download off Doom9.org, on which there also happens to be a guide for the process.

It is also possible to use the program DVD2SVCD to encode AVI > DVD, using QuEnc, which is also worth a look.

a program called DVDSanta i found is the best. Also, you can use Nero VisonExpress but its shite.

It's not free, I presume the watermark is intrusive to playback, and I tried it a while ago and didn't think much of it.
