Instead of permanently fixing the way we deal with the date.... they left it the same.... 00 which meant the year 1900 now means 2000 but in 2100, 00 will mean the year 2000 .... and it will be taken for granted.. and around this time 95 years from now our great grandkids will be wondering why the hell we didnt just fix the damn problem!
.... hopefully the stupid media will change by then and they wont blow the entire thing out of proportion

Some religious people believed the world would end at the end of 1999 because in the bible, someone has a dream where the word ends (I think armagedon) and he see's the number 66, however in dreams numbers appear upside down

I heard about that too. But I remember watching a show on TV that was saying our years are ahead a little bit, that the world ends in 2006 or something like that.

bah...i dont think technology would kill me if it all went away. the WORLD, yes the world itself would probably puke it's guts out and scream uncle...but i'm not too worried about it personally. i can't see the world ending anytime soon due to natural occurances (i do however believe supernatural effects may end the world at any time.) there are bigger things in life to worry about then what *could* happen and what will happen afterwards...that only leads to depression/worry/anxiety. i like to focus on today and try and make my life worth living as it passes me by, the future never really interested me as i can't REALLY change it. i believe my life is mapped out by a divine authority and it's my job to make do and do my part...instead of finding the "best" route and changing my lifestyle to match up with what i want. in the end i always realize i have NO IDEA what i want...i was just attracted temporarily and found out it wasn't as great as i thought it would be.
