I recently purchased WoW and became the biggest zombie in the world. All I ever talked about was WoW with all my friends and I swear my mom was about to perform and excorsist (sp?) on me!

Well... I finally decided that i was taking over my life! I had had it for all of about 3 and a half weeks and I had a character all the way to level 42! And you WoW players know that's not an easy feat! THAT'S how much I was into it!

So ya, I just wanted to share my story of how I defeated the most addicting game in the world. And for those of you who are getting the game or are even thinking of getting the game heed my warning: It's way too addicting... you WILL get sucked in.

Ya I just wanted to share my heroic story :D

Well done, however, i own the game and ive never really fell in love or got addicted to it.

The only reason I don't buy most online games is the fee. SW Galaxies is supposed to be fun too, but why not get WOW? Or why not get game X which also works online? The fee is why. But that is why BF2 is my lifeblood. See, I'm not addicted to WOW...;)

I would've bought that game ages ago if it weren't for the monthly charge. I don't think any game is worth a monthly charge, unless it's something small like £1 or so :p

Think about it, they must be reaking in the cash with the amount of money people have invested in that game...

Anyway, well done matey! It takes alot to give up something you enjoy doing. I have a friend that clocked up 30 hours on BF2 in three days!!! He seriously needs to start a new hobby...

Haha well if you don't mind getting sucked into the game (there is so much to do) the game is worth the monthly fee. Besides you'll be so sucked into the game you'll forget about the monthly fee.

Oh ya! They make tons! I know at least 8 million play it now and I know it's grown considerably because I got 5 of my friends to buy it after I had... so it spreads like wild fire! Let's think... 8 million x 15 = 120 million... A MONTH! x 12 = 1 billion 440 million in a year... correct me if I'm wrong but i got a match in CS:S with my buds!

I played D2 last summer everyday from 5PM-6:30 AM....then woke up at 3PM and started up again at 5PM. I did that for about 1-2months, then the new patch and ladder reset came around....got 2-3 sojs, sold em for $75 bucks and quit d2. :)

I think the next logical place to go is a computer forum 12 step program sticky... i also fell into the addictive clutches of an MMORPG by the name of Everquest. After weeks of rehab, i am now able to play the game in one hour incriments without loosing my head :)

8 million US users dont pay $15 for the game. * million world users do... They are different currencies, different countries with lower rates. I would assume the $15 is the high, but the low could be a lot lower... Think of a country where you make $.30 US an hour... Would you have a $1000 computer, and pay $15 a month for a game? I think not.

I doubt this. Say you owned Blizzard. Would you lower your monthly fee for the people in poorer countries so they could play? I doubt you would. Also, woul they make the US pay 15 bucks, and Europe pay 15 euros? It's a 15 USD monthly fee. Other countries would pay with their type of currency, but in the end it would equal 15 USD.

What he is saying is that your money is wroth more their, You can go to a reserant here, and spend 20$ for yourself, Or you can go to the Philipines and rent out a nice resuerant and pay for your family and friends with that same 20$

Two persons in my familiy are very addicted to WoW, my brother and... yes... my dad, I say to him (my dad) every day: "Are you crazy? What's the matter with you? You are acting like a child."

He's 38 years old and has like 4 or so lvl 60 characters, he's nuts. :p

I played that game for like a week or so, reached lvl 42 and than quit, WoW sux, CSS pwns!

I agree, i played WoW for a couple of months got too boring, quests are boring. Maz lvl i got was like 20 :/ CSS ftw, alough i wish i was good a BF2
