Need an advise please

I just got a HP a1483w for a bargain-300 bucks.

Here are the specs and i just wanna know what i can do to make this computer a gaming machne (more or less)

amd athlon 64x2 manchester (dual core) running at 2.2 ghz
2 gig of ddr 400 ram
sound blaster audigy 2
250gb sata2+ 160 gb sata hdd's
built in nvidia 6150 le
300W power supply
dvd+/- rw whatever plus light scribe and i've installed another cd burner.

tell me what i can change or put in in order to make it run my games at normal fps and speed? i just tried playing farcry but it is SO SLOW damn it other then that everything else runs smooth. i like amd better then a pentium.

are you sure it was 300 dollars? well the rest looks good except for the video card and psu. change those and you will be fine.

you really need a better video card, because with what you have, it's amazing the game doesn't just crash your computer... oh and i would look at a 550w. psu. don't gimp on price, with psu's you get what you pay for, nothing more, nothing less. 75$+ should get you a decent one

Whats your budget for this? Post what you are looking to spend, and the max you are willing to spend and ill get a list for you of what you need.

Wrong. You can get a quality PSU for $35. Heck, I got a nice one for free since it came with my case.

I got mine for 30$, sli ready, 450W works great. FSB group makes some great PSU's and sell them for pretty low prices.

Not really, my igp 6100 can run quite a bit of stuff

Wattage doesn't mean much, look at the amperage on the 12v rail, dual rails is also good. Anything over 28a should be fine.

WOW that is cheap...no wonder it is out of stock. How did they manage that? What is wrong with it?
