SLI Motherboard for Conroe

Currently they're both based on the nForce 4 Intel edition. It will only start being made with the nForce 5XX further down the road. And yes, the nForce 4 Intel doesn't overclock as well as the AMD versions or other Intel chipsets, but still a pretty good board.

You saying this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131031 doesnt overclock as good as amd or intel versions? Then which topline board overclocks good that works for conroe and ati cards?

34erd is correct. First that board is not worth the money. Second it can be found cheaper then it costs at newegg. I've see it for $160-$180. Third it is not based on the Nforce 570 or 590 chipset. It is based on the Nforce 4 chipset. the new AMD boards are already suing the 570 and 590 chipsets. The 570 and 590 are much better overclockers and just all around better boards (the 590 being the best). The 570 and 590 boards supporting the core 2 duo were suppose to be released today, 8/1, according to a release by nvidia and intel that could be found at nvidia's website. I'm not sure why they aren't up for sale yet but I would advise anyone looking for an Sli core 2 duo motherboard to NOT buy this board. Wait for the 570 or 590 chipsets to come out. At worst your going to see one within the month of august. I'd expect at least 3 companies to come out with a 570 and 590 board by the end of the month.

Yes but will chipset 570 and 590 support conroe chip? If they do which one will overclock better?
