Is this good for gaming? I know nothing about motherboards.

Biostar M7NCD-PRO nForce2 Ultra-400 Chip W/LAN, 5.1 Sound, USB 2.0 8x AGP Motherboard. Pleas excues all the post that I'm doing to night but I'me going to be buying a computer soon and I need to ty up some lose ends. Thanks

Sounds pretty good to me. However, I haven't really heard much about Biostar boards. I'm running a XFX Force NF4-ALH or something like that. XFX boards are made for graphics and gaming. You you can, I would suggest going with XFX. But hey, it's your money...

Biostar boards aren't that good I'm currently using a U8668 pro biostar board with a 400mhz fsb its not too good (cant really complain havent had any problems doing the normal things but when it comes to gaming its another story) they are better boards out ther personally my favorite are mobos from gigabyte. they make pretty decent stable boards. if you have an options try looking for an asus board or gigabyte one depending on your budget you should be able to get something good with the specifications you mentioned.

It's all personal preference.

You like Giga... i like Asus... the other guy likes Biostar. The main thing would be to look up reviews (aka common problems with the board). Not just from one site either. Use many sites for reference. Weigh in the problems vs price, and go from there.
