I have an E6300 and my temps vary...
On the software (both PC Probe & ASUS Suite) that came with my ASUS P5B it shows about 43C Idle... On a program called Everest, it shows two seperate temperatures listed as this...
CPU #1 / Core #1 - 39C
CPU #1 / Core #2 - 37C
So I think that Everest is giving me the more accurate readings. Just so you know, inside Everest, I went to the computer tab and clicked on the sensor.
