what ram are u using. what steps have u taken. have u checked overclocking 101? the way i did my core 2 was i lowered my mem to match my bus speed n then increased both the bus speed and mem speeds together to up my e6300 from 1.86 to 2.25. you should read overclocking 101. and dont just jump up 200-400mhz, increase by small increments or you never know u might screw something up

you are perfectly right, and yet, i did hear pd 930 is a good overclocker,
he could probably get 200~400mhz easy, then from certain time, he gatta becareful though, but not from the beginning.
well, i was careful with my opteron, and reliezed that its pretty good overclocker.

ya...i was just thinking he didnt know how to overclock so jumping up a bunch wasnt a good idea. if you have some experience and know what your doing why not, but if you dont i suggest going through the process like i did. Take notes of every setting you try. The More prepared you are the better. cuz you dont want to get it to the point that it doesnt boot and then go "oohhh hmm what was my last setting that worked???, damn...start all over" lol. im sure theres ways around that like there is with everything, but id just rather be prepared and know what i tried

I used to have a Pentium D 930, and I overclocked it to 3.6GHz very easily. All I did was raise the voltage up 0.1-0.15V or so, and raised the FSB. I was able to hit 4Ghz, but the voltage was insanely high.
