don't even think about it...

it would work, but buying $800worth of Video Cards now is simply IDIOTIC

Supposedly on the 8th of Nov, the 8800GTS/X will be out.. 2 of them in SLI hould be better than the two cards you're after, and it should ocst slightly less, but wou'll need about 850W's coming off your PSU...

id wait if i were you/

Also, I heard that there is a problem with the drivers or something becuase they perform worse than two gtx's.

Two 7950GX2's would give way to much power(not literally).

nope...

just wait until christmas time.... DX10 is the way forward !!!!

if yo NEED a card, get a cheapo 7900 GS or something.. they overclock easily upto a 7900 GT...

On the other hand... i have my cards for nearly a year now.. and they still perform really good together. But then,... a year ago there wasnt a big DX upgrade, so it didnt matter that much, i would indeed atm save the monney and get a DX10 card, since that would be much more worth it :)

If only R600 wasn't so far down the road.... :(

As said, don't think about it. Plus, what resolution are you playing at? If you're like most of us running around with a 1280x1024 resolution, then there isn't a point. With so little space, a single 7900GT/GTO/GTX ought to adequately power that size with ease and eye candy. Now if you go for a larger resolution, like 1600x1200, THEN you're looking at a reason to go for more "oomph."

Eventually it will level out somewhere i mean... a tree can only look like a tree ya know what i saying it cant get any better then it really is so i doubt there will be a need for a supply over 1Kw because do you think GC's are gonna have to stop somewhere?
