just a quick question....if i am using a 6600gt ddr3 video card...would my cpu be the bottleneck to the card (i.e. because of the cpu so that the 6600gt cannot perform it true power...i hope you know what i mean:p )

my comp spec is on my signature

Yes and no... I mean, I was able to play Need For Speed Most wanted on a PIII 733MHz and my Radeon 8500. It actually ran quite well.

Game performace is more based upon your GPU than your CPU. Not to say a good CPU doesn't help; I'm sure you'd see quite an improvment over your old MX400.

true, decent ram, decent cpu, and ++ video card won't make it too bad...
well, games are mostly based on gpus, right? so...

If your CPU is crap, like mine then the GPU won't make as big as difference as a new CPU would.

In your case the 6600GT will make a difference but it will also be bottle necked by your CPU.

Yes the cpu can bottleneck you, just ask [-Omega-] what happened when he a x850pro(unlocked to xt) and a Pe 2.4ghz processor :)
