Which free browser is best?

Hello,
I'm looking for a free browser that will perform better than IE, isn't connected to IE in any way, but still can function on the same sites that IE functions with. I don't like internet explorer that much for its basic functions. Also a web browser with Pop-Up blocking is a good good bonus :D

Mozilla Firefox, or Opera... I use both. Most people prefer Firefox though... they're both free though, so you could install them and try them out for yourself to see what you like :)

I'm currently testing a browser called K-Meleon, I'm wondering, has anyone used it before and what do you think of it?

Mozilla Firefox is the best look for a review on it on google and you will see if you look at my other posts theres one how to make Firefox faster!

Anything is better than IE some goods ones are Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape. I personally like Mozilla.

i use IE all the time, maybe opera every now and then. I've tried others but i like IE, less cluttered. ANd i dont have a problem with viruses/spyware, since i can easily delete it if it gets on my comp.

Opera's not really free though, if you think about it. You get that banner/ toolbar thing that flashes advertisement until you pay a fee.
The obvious is Mozilla Firefox, but as soon as that browser becomes the most used, virus makers (creators) are going to target Firefox. I was quite happy for them to target IE because I rarely use it now.
However I don't think there are any other that can match the performance of Opera and Firefox.
What about Netscape, thats a free browser right?
