You can use AIM with phones, but it's pretty much just text messaging, and most likely will cost money for each text you send, unless you have unlimited text messaging.

You can also register your phone with AIM and MSN so when people IM you, it goes directly to your phone.

I was just curious and tried to connect to AIM using my cell phone. It worked...sort of. I saw most of the people in my buddy list, but my phone locked up

But yeah, I'm pretty sure unless you have a Windows Mobile phone, AIM will be just like text messages.

Idk about you guys but my cingular phone has an aim program
you sign on with your name, you can only have 35 buddies in your list though
its just like on the pc
and you can change your status to "mobile" when you leave your pc

I don't know for sure, but I think I read somewhere that you're charged per message... No biggie though, I don't plan to use it :p
