I need.... a couple ethernets, for my LAN parties.
My switch is a 24 port D-link 10/100Mbps.
I need about... 5 or 6. Ill have more of a exact number tomorrow.
Any color(s) are fine.

Um...Cheap but reliable and id like it to have the shield over the prong.

Thank you.

doesnt newegg have cheap cables?
also, if you need 6 cables, id take them all in a different color. Not only because it looks fancy ^^ but also because its easy to see what cable goes where :)

Reliable...well that depends on how well you do them :p

You would need to buy;
-Roll of Cat5e UTP cable. (NOTE: If you are going to be running it across the floor and around desks etc and repositioning it allot, you should get "Stranded" core cable, and not "Solid" core cable...basically the stranded is more flexible)

-Two connectors for each cable (8P8C Modular Crimp Plugs... =8pin, 8Connections) (NOTE: There are also several types/versions of this connector...ones for 'Stranded Core Cable", for "Solid Core Cable", then there is the same for the "Shielded" solid & stranded cables. In reallity, for low end setups either connector will work ok)

-Modular Crip Tool, that can crimp 8P8C modular connectors.

-Boots to fit the 8P8C connectors (the rubber covers)

All in all, unless your are experienced it is probably best & easier to just buy pre-made cables.

P.S. I have a Australian Cabler's Licence(unrestricted) :D

I agree with scrat here. (besides.. the prefabricated cables have those rubber/plastic socks welded/melted onto the cable.. so i gues they can take a bit more of a nudge,. wich would be happening for sure during a lan i gues.
