Hi, ALL! One night, after cleaning my registry and deleting adware all of a sudden, my wireless connection changes to "Limited / No Connectivity". When i try to use the repair feature it tells me it cant get an IP Address. I have changed the wireless adapter, uninstalled + reinstalled the driver, even got a new Modem / Router(all hardware from comcast). Nothing works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im about to reinstall windows. Can anyone give me any advice?

Please Help,

Hey that happens to me too, but i let it stay for few minutes and it dissapears on its own. I dont know whats wrong.

No, happening for a few minutes is not what's happening to him. This is what is going on with him(I suspect)

He switched adapters, so he just installed a PCI adapter and he has an onboard, so his onboard is not shut off in BIOS. Since it is not shut off, it is causing his new adapter not to respond and is conflicting with it. So therefore, he needs to uninstall and throw out that PCI adapter and reinstall his drivers for his onboard and go into Hardware Manager, disable and then re-enable the onboard adapter. He should also "power - cycle" his modem. It might be fixed now.

Nini, however, yours is normal, your computer is just checking the connection with ISP.

go ahead and try this, it worked for me.

go to Run and type cmd

type in: netsh winsock reset

restart your computer and it should be connecting again.

You could reset the dns as well through the cmd console in dos.

Also try resetting the CMOS.
