How do you find the host of a website or forum?

It's called a "WHOIS" search.
Say the company you want to know about is www.computersite.com
Put "computersite.com" (less the quotes) in the search box and hit Go. Next page that comes up will show what you're lookin' for.

i don't know wat the problem is but i can't view that website,another website might be helpful.
But i have a question..
doesn't the "whois" query show only the domain registar?
does it show the name of the company or website of the host that is hosting the website?
an example would be nice.

ENOM is their domain registrar, so who they pay for the domain, the hosts site is more likely to be http://interspeed.com/ since that is where the nameservers are, although you could always ping the domain name, and go to the IP address to see if that goes to a hosts site

But i have a few more questions..
isn't the name server for the domain registration cuz when i google some of the nameservers it shows up domain registration companies not hosting companies.
it might help if the computerforum owner or admin confirms whether this forum is really hosted on interspeed or not.
and even some nameserves r like NS1.P8.RU NS2.P8.RU ..
how r u supposed to know their company?
