Need help hooking Please

I bought a refurbished R51. I have also bought two R31's from them and have been very satisfied. I brought this machine hope with the intent of making it our business machine and use the others for fun/kids. (wifes endless online games) :) Anyway, I used the same disc that we got with the R31's to download Windows xp. What I have found out is that they were Reboot discs and not full versions. A decent source that I have said that I need a reboot for R51's because I dont have the right drivers. Do you believe that this is true and if so, could someone out there give me better "helpful" information than he has. I need to get the machine up and running quick. Each machine does have a XP liscensed machine sticker attached.

Problem: Machine loaded and appeared to work fine. However, I can not hook up to the internet. I am running Road Runner and the cable modem is showing that it is functioning fine. The modem card in the machine has the correct lights showing that it is working fine. Still no connection when I try to log on. I have been through all the helps that I can figure out (computer user here, not a programmer) What I have found is that it appears for some reason, during loading, it did not function correctly. When I go into my network connections, where the others say Intel blah blah blah and connected with the little monitors and a cable between, this new machine does not. There is nothing on the screen, it is blank. The only other detail that I can think that may help is that when I go into my device manager, there is no "network adapters".

Your help is greatly appreciated in advance.

Hiya mate, have you tried reinstalling the drivers for your network card?

If you dont have them, you can download them of Internet.

Haha, when i read the title i was thinking hmm, this is the wrong section for that! Well, like XP said, if you have another computer with functioning internet and a cd burner, download the driver for that card you have.
