Celeron or Sempron

No Semprons have 128MB of L1, No Semprons have 1MB or 512MB of L2!!
I think you mean 128KB and 512KB :)

Not all celeron D have 256KB cache

Some of them have 512KB cache like this one

The older Celeron D's only had 256K, but the new 65nm models have 512KB.

All in all, the Sempron would be better if your more focused on gaming, but if you dont do much gaming, the newer Celerons would be the best overall.

PC eye said that not me Post 16, I meant that NO Sempron had that L2, By the way a semprons is 128KB and 256KB L2 not 512.

Like I stated before you can compare the different models in the AMD cpu reference chart.

You seem to forget that the "socket type" was never specified! There are Sempron models for AM2 boards as well as Socket A and 754 models as well. That means 64bit as well as 32bit models. It's easier when you pick a model at http://www2.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/1,,30_182_869_11521%5e11522,00.html?1166656792

You seem to forget everything
You were arguing (and even posted an incorrect example to support your argument) that there are sempron with 512k L2, you even said
Read it and weep!
let me be clear to you PC_eye
THERE ARE NO SEMPRONS WITH 512k L2 CACHE
You have managed to get information wrong in every single post in this thread (and a heck load more across the board). Stop posting rubbish and research your answers before hand, and stop blaming a typo, or "sticky keys" on the fact you haven't got a clue what you were talking about.

Yea it was, about 4 times, 754 and AM2, now you bring up socket A. Socket A is not even made anymore. I tell ya this is getting bad like other stuff, like your extra wide IDE cables-40X2 pin IDE cables-Athlon XP 3200 with some kinda of DDR built in-Intels with Hyper Transport-I can keep going on if you want me to think some more about it!!

Its almost unbelievable it so much. Everybody gets stuff wrong, I,ve got caught with my pants down before, but I admit when I,m wrong. This guy just backs up wrong statements with more of the same. Its pretty easy to say, Oh yea thats right, instead of twisting everything around to get out of it.

Don't argue with stupidity, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Kenin was always after him on this, too. And, when faced with issues he goes running to the prehistoric age of Socket A and later, or Socket 370 or later, twists the whole post around so that we lose focus of the original point - then pulls out something that somehow validates a point that wasn't even the original focus. ALL the while, the original poster is thinking "wtf, mate?"
