Hey guys, I just started to play battlefield 2 and I'm almost at the point where I can get my first upgrade kit. Can anyone with experience recommend a kit? I'm leaning towards the sniper or medic kit, but I'm not sure yet.

Your unlock order should be

M95
DAO 12
L85
G36C
PKM
G3

Trust me, if you want ANY airtime at all you will want that .50Cal cockpit-penetrating M95.

If your an infantryman get the g36 it is by far the best gun for soldier on soldier rifle battles, if your more of a support gunner type definitely go for the pkm it's heavier so u cant run as far but when u get down to business it'll do


Personally I didn't like the .50 cal because 1.it's not as accurate as the m24 and 2.you don't notice the extra power(also I've never shot someone out of a cockpit before and yes I have tried but that doesn't mean it isn't possible)

That is BS. The default specop guns are fine and the first unlock you need is DEF. the M95 to shoot your team mates out YOUR jet.

The next unlock should be the DAO12 because the default AT weapons suck.

lol I'm not going to tk through helicopter windows, but I still like the sniper rifle. I think I'll go with it. Only 128 points to go!

The .50 cal is an inaccurate and ineffective weapon and your encouraging team killing! the dao is only good at short range so unless your good with rockets your long range capabilities are shot. The g36 weapons are more accurate and more powerful than the m4 plus some people hate the red-dot scope.

btw, the .50 cal was my 4th unlock and I regretted it just like the dao. I never use either.

what ever kit you play most and like most should be the one you upgrade first becuase all upgrades are generally better then the defualt, unless you like being a sniper then the M95 isn't any better. It still takes 2 shots to kill someone and is less accurate like it was mentioned above. It was my first upgrade and i regretted ever since.

umm new problem..my rank is stuck at private 1st class even though I have 528 points. It says that i need -28 points till the next rank. wtf?

The .50 cal sniper rifle is friggin' awesome. I can get one shot kills way better than before, it seems more accurate, too. It is bolt-action and has a slow reload time.

I remember something about the game not always updating right away. Something about needing to be validated by an administrator from EA or something. Check back tomorrow morning and everything should be ok then...

I used to be a medic a lot, but then I would almost always be the Commander, and was pretty dang good at it, I was somewhere around 45-3 when I was the Commander. :D

Oh, I see. It's really weird, because when I play in a server, I gain the rank once i score a point. However, when I finish a round and quit out, it doesn't update in my stats.
