Hi, I just set up a wireless router so my computer could have internet, and the family computer can to. My computer is the one with the adapter. Whenever someone else is on the family computer, my internet loses almostm all its speed, and I cant play my online games. Is there anyway to make my computer have teh majority of the internets speed?

To play online games you might have to open some ports on the routers firewall. I don't know how you could get more speed, other than trying to move your PC closer to the router. My router seems to split the internet connection between the PC's well.

check for virus/spyware on the home computer. i've run into some nasty ones that kill connection speeds. If thats not the case, then you'll have to get a router that has quality of service settings on it. then youd be able to allocate bandwith to individual computer connected to the router.

Is there a 802.11b device trying to work with on a 802.11g network? ;)

that would make no real difference...
Uhhhhh yes it would. An 802.11b device on a 802.11g network forces everyone on the G to operate a B speeds (there are exceptions but none have been stated)
