Unreal Tournament GOTY

I am using a HP Compaq nx7400 Notebook, that uses the Intel(R) Mobile 945GM Chipset. I have 256mb Video Memory and 512mb RAM.

I have decided to start playing Unreal Tournament, and I have acquired a copy of the GOTY edition.

I am having some issues with the gameplay. It is really jerky, and runs unbelieavably fast when playing. I have it set on Software Render because it works on ALL video cards. The pistol sounds like the chaingun, thats how fast it is going?

When I use D3D, it just makes the game go extremelly slow, even when the game speed is running at 200%.

I have the latest video drivers for my laptop, so anyone have any ideas?

I don't really get it, It's jerky but it's running fast?

Can't you turn the game speed down in Software Rendering mode?

it might be in the game settings there are things in there that speed up/slow down the game play and in the game of the year addition there are loads of extra mods that do that kind of stuff just check that first

It has something to do with the video, because its not the FPS, its actually the game. I have everything ready for my VGA compatible card.

thats what im saying you can speed up or slow unreal tournament its self in the game options its supposed to be more fun at high speed or soothing
its an actual game option the speed should be 100% but it must be set to 300%

You certainly dont want it to run at 300% that is just insanely fast. You will die before you know what to shoot at. 155% is what I always play on. As for the game lagging, that could be a video issue do you have all your drivers updated? Do you play any other games on there and do they work? Did you update the game to version 4.36?

you've already got this but yeah, turn down game settings. it goes up to something like 250 percent speed or something ridiculous like that.
