I want to burn a video on a DVD+R but when i use Nero Vision 4 after a few minutes my computer would freeze and I'd get this message:
NeroVision.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x00530aa4" referenced memory at "0x00000004".The memory could not be "read".

and my computer beeps every second

my comp specs are in the sig and I'm burning with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106057 i just got it too.

Anyone know what this is and how I can fix this? thx in advance

When going to burn a dvd more then seen with vcds even you are placing a large demand on the cpu itself. This is why you'll hear fans speed up. The constant audio beeping points at a hardware problem and possible cpu failure if not a problem with memory there. Have you monitored your cpu and system temps lately? That can also be an overheating alarm heard there meaning the protection circuit is sutting in.

The other thing is more likely software related as far as the error message being seen. I can give you a few links here for SpeedFan and SIW as well as advise running memtest and other diagnostic programs to be on the safe side. Nero wouldn't cause beeping. For the SpeedFan you can download that free at http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

SIW is a great free system information tool for both software and hardware environments and shows different temps as well. That is found at http://www.gtopala.com/

There have been two main sites for memtest for some time now and now seen on the first Vista splash screen when Windows first loads as an option since MS decided to include the free Linux tool in Windows believe it or not. The two sites are memtest86.com at http://www.memtest86.com/ and memtest.org found at http://www.memtest.org/

ya i have monitored my temp, and my CPU never gets higher than 48C on full load, I even tested it with OCCT, and i did a few passes of Memtest86 and got no errors.

Besides memory and the cpu the only other thing that would cause a beep alert would generally be the video card if that went bad. But you know right off if that failed on you. When burning a dvd in particular you see a larger demand on the supply as well.

If you have a weak cap in the supply the board may be sounding an alarm when the current is dropping? That type of error message usually means a driver is trying to load into system reserved memory addresses.

The error message itself is still software related while knowing what is the cause for hearing the constant beeping sounds like a hardware problem or temp problem if the current isn't seeing a sudden drop. Memtest has to be left running for several hours in order to repeat the set of tests in order to fully stress test memory.

A failing component doesn't always have to be overheating to be on the way out. I would recommend some other system diagnostic programs to run a complete system wide diagnostics there. Usually a constant beeping isn't good and points at the cpu depending on the bios your board has. Award, Phoenix, AMI, and others each have their own alert codes chart to point out the problem. A few diagnostic tools for hardwares are seen at the links here.

System Analyzer is found at http://www.sysanalyser.com/ Several others are seen at http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Diagnostics/ For beep codes for different bioses go to http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm#4
