If battery life is good, I could see me getting something like that to carry to class ;) I assume it runs an embedded version of windows or something? Hopefully not Windows mobile...

its similar to the laptop for every child policy, except its marketed at western countries, not handed out free to underpriveladged children in the poorer continents, but i think the concept and design is taken from the one laptop per child laptops

Awesome concept, but I hope that by "easy to use" they don't mean they dumbed and striped down the operating system. If I got one I would want it to be able to run a normal version of windows. Also, I just skimmed though... was there any mention of specs?

I think its pretty cool, the only thing I can't seem to figure out is whether or not it has a cd-rom drive. a 16GB flash drive would be cool.

Pretty nifty, although the 7" one looks like something you would find in the Early Learning Center... The 10" one looks a lot more professional. If i ever have $200 (£110) lying around I might just treat myself, as it stands at the moment im saving up for a proper laptop.

I would get the 7" one just cause it's so small.

When you think about it, things like these may change the way we all learn, think about 15 second boot up times, and seeing the fact there so cheap, private schools and the like will be able to buy them, we may just never use a book again?
