Computer Not Recognizing USB Devices

I just bought a new Logitech steering wheel for my racing games (Driving Force Pro). I have Logitech Gaming Software v4.60 installed. When I plug in the wheel, it says USB device not recognized. I contacted Logitech, and they told me that it was a problem with the wheel. However, I decided to try plugging in my Logitech controller, and ran into the same problem, it could not recognize the device. Now I'm convinced that it's a problem with my computer, because as of 2 weeks ago that controller worked perfectly fine.

I doubt system specs are a factor, but here they are.

AMD Athlon X2 5200+
Gigabyte M61P-S3 AM2 Motherboard
Western Digital 250GB SATA Hard Drive
ATI Radeon x1600 512MB
Windows XP Professional

The printer is USB, and that is working fine. The USB ports on the front and back of the PC have the same result.

Now that I think about it, I had a similar issue when I first built the computer. The mouse and keyboard are USB, but I have to run them through USB->PS2 adapters, otherwise they do not work.

Any ideas what could be the cause or what a fix might be?

Yes, I did. I even just put the disc in to make sure they were all already installed. And don't worry, it's not a dumb question, I almost forgot to when I build it. :)

Tried it on multiple other computers, works fine. I did some more research and I was able to find out that this is a strange happening that occurs with Logitech products quite often. Called Logitech and they denied that the problem even exists, and asked me the "idiot check" questions, then told me that there was a problem with my computer. I would believe them, but every device that isn't Logitech works, my 3 Logitech USB devices do not work. Called again to explain this, and they became unhelpful and once again denied that this problem exists. All of my Logitech products that I can no longer use will be listed on eBay, and I can't see myself buying another Logitech product in the future. Too bad, too, as I was actually planning on buying the Logitech G25 in a few months.

I guess I can't really blame Logitech for the problem, as it is just a weird issue that nobody has found any correlation to anything else with. I am, however, extremely unhappy with their customer service, so I will not deal with them again if I don't have to.
