Wirless network problems connecting

Hello all,
I have a small networking with 7 computers running off of a linksys wireless G router. The area that they occupy is relitively small. One computer in the back office will not connect to network at all. I would say that the office is no more than 20 feet away. I need some advice for this problem. I have been thinking about scraping the wirless and going wired, or maybe should I buy a repeater?

Any advice would be appreciated

Base on my experience, this wireless router sometimes have the problem in producing strong signals. For me, U need to find another branded router to solve this problem.

make sure you have the latest firmware for both the card and the router. what kind of wall is it. if it's just drywall then maybe you have a weak router. you could buy a a stronger antenna for it. that might give you the extra power you need.

these guys have a very good variety of low to high power antennas

also, you can try moving your router around the room a little bit. sometimes, that will make all the difference. also make sure that your antenna are all standing straight. little things like that can get ya sometimes

try running the "setup XP home networking" program again, that works for me when my PC's refuse to comunicate with one another.

When you say it wont connect to the network, do you mean that it doesnt see/detect the wireless signal? or do you mean that it sees the network but just wont let you connect/login to it?

I've got an Excel 108Mb PCI card in my PC and a Belkin 54Mb Router about 4 rooms away. Was having a bit of trouble connecting then when i turned the PC so that the back(where the antenna is) was facing the direction of the Router, the signal improved from being very low to just low/good.
I just hooked up a new antenna to the PCI card and now get excelent signal strength. The new antenna is a ASUS brand with a cable about 1m long like the one shown in this picture

Also, make sure that your antenna is pointing upwards... if not it usually wont work as well as it could.

Firstly and this is probably the biggest problem, the wall is cinder block. Second there is not much room to move the router around.

why not have both wireless and wired network. just wire the computer in the back office. but you will need to get a small switch (since thats the only computer thats going to be wired) and connect the switch to the router and the computer to the switch. then your done.
