From talking to several people on this forum, ive gotten together this custom PC that id want specificly and mainly for gaming. Tell me what you guys think, BTW my budget is about $1100 for just a comp (no monitor/keyboard/mouse..etc) so if this doesnt seem to be a decent setup, perhaps you can recommend something in my budget range? Thanks in advance everyone who took the time to read this:

I also considered the exact same setup but with Dual ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 512MB cards instead of the current Dual GeForce 8500 GT 512MB cards. Wuddya think?

Also, for an extra $20 i chose this option, is this really unnessessary and not worth the $20? Professional Wiring for All WIRINGs Inside The System Chasis with High Performance Thermal Compound on CPU

I saw professional wiring and id assume the setup would be professionally wired anyway ;) but if its not needed, i can save the $20, and, which moves onto my next question, upgrade the harddrive from 320GB 7200RPM to a 36.2GB 10,000RPM Harddrive, so wuddya think of the difference between 10K rpm and 7200 rpm? Thanks

Just has a bunch of boxes u can check for FREEBIE items, not to interested, but hey, free ;)
What site you buying off of? No doubt you got a really good set up, but is it cost-effective? I think you should have gone with dual Radeon graphic cards...I hear they're better anyway (and they're cheaper).

Can I have this freebie: FREEBIE_CU5: FREE! 2GB Portable Video, Music & Photo (MP4, MP3 & Jpeg) Media Player $149 Value ? Please? :D

I'd also suggest doing dual hard drives with your 7200rpm 16mb cache RAID 0 set-up!

Well each ATI card is $8 more then the Geforce card selected currently. But if ATI is a better buy, id have to go with that.

=-O You want my freebie before I even see it? Shame on u ;)

*slap*

Gimme the freebie, and nobody else gets hurt. :D:D:D

I've been looking at eBay. They got a lot of good people and businesses there that will build you a l337 custom PC for cheap. :D

[Now for leaking that top secret information, I definitely deserve that freebie.\

8500GT and HD2600Pro are very bad performer, you can get a better video card for the same price like 7600GT

And dual cards are waste of money, because you can get one better card like 8600GTS or 7950GT for the same price (or even cheaper)

So stay away from both those cards all together ehh? Would u recommend not getting either of those cards DUAL and instead getting just one NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express, since its like $105 more then the GeForce 8500, i could probably only afford one, so in that case, is one 7950 better then 2 8500's? I always thought the higher number card would be better because i thought id be a more recent card. Also wuddya think of the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 512MB PCI Express x16? I can afford 2 of those.

Thanks!

Also, do u think 1 7950 gt 512 would run certain games at max settings? Such as Battlefield 2142, Counterstrike Source, Day Of Defeat Source, Command & Conquor 3, and so on? Only reason im getting this computer is hopefully to play all current games i listed at max, as well as future games comming out in the next year.

Sorry fellas, everytime i send a reply, i remember something else i need to ask, i applogize for the repeditive posts. When choosing the GeForce 7950 GT i see this sub option available:

-NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express(Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)[+0]More Brand...
-Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA[+0]
-XFX Powered by NVIDIA[+5]

So basicly for an extra $5 you can choose XFX Powered by NVIDIA over the Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA. Anyone know what this is? And if this is worth the extra $5, this is of course assuming this one card is a good buy, instead of going dual on one of the other cards i mentioned earlier in this thread.

Thanks again fellas, i appricate the fast replys, i expect to make a final purchase tomorrow, so ill shut up soon enough ;)
