they are terrible. My friend in college bought one from the school and has had nothing but problems with it. The joke around school is they blow up around your junior year. Just thought i'd let ya know lol.The problems include: over heating, won't burn cd's ( it just keeps them blank but says there are done lol), and just continously having to get parts replaced through the school such as hard drive, also she says its ugly.

Really? I think I'm still going to try and buy it. But, if I have problems there is a 7 Day Return Policy.

Which model? T2X? T30?

I have a T21 and T30. I have had problems with the T21 since about 2 months after I bought it. (About 1.5 years ago) Not sure what's wrong with it, sometimes turns on, then will lock up later, sometimes it doesn't power at all.

The T30 I have owned about 6 months and is absolutely solid. Rigid manufacturing and its tough. I purchased the square trade warranty this time around for 10% and haven't had any problems at all yet. For 10% of the cost you may as well buy the squaretrade warranty for 3 years I believe. I wish I would have done it with the T21.

Both of them have the ultra bays though. Which are cool because you can take the drive out easily and add cool things like an extra battery etc...

Also make sure the seller has a reputable rating when selling laptops.

I'm buying a older one. The 600E or 600X. For it's age, it is very thin. I found one on ebay for $100. I'm going to give it a shot.
