Bootskins for winxp

Hi. I would like to know if anyone on this forum has tried bootskins for winxp from wincustomize.com? I need some guidance on how to change to the new bootskin upon downloading the file.
Basically this is what I do, I go to wincustomize.com, under gallery, bootskins, selected vista ultimate boot(just for an example), then I click download. Upon downloaded, the file appeared in the desired saved location. After that, I reboot the computer but I do not see the bootskin being changed! There are also no further instructions on how to select the downloaded bootskin(maybe I have not found it) when the computer boots up.
Anyone can teach me how to change the bootskin. Msybe you would also like to go to wincustomize.com and try it out then provide solutions for me?
I am really desperate to get this bootskin working.

I'm guessing you have to download the Bootskin file that you want to apply, separately. Browse for these on wincustomize, or anywhere else that has them.

Then open the Bootskin application from within windows. I haven't used it myself, but it should be easy enough to then browse for the downloaded skin file, and click 'apply' I suspect.
