so, im going to be upgrading to this memory card...ive been having some frustrations with world of warcraft running as slow as 13 fps and seriously considered building a new rig...but i dont have the money for that right now.

with the hardware that i have now (found in my sig), would this upgrade make a reasonable difference? my monitors native resolution is 1440x900 and im having difficulties with wow at 1024x768, not to mention EVERYTHING is on the lowest setting...

Firstly, you mean graphics card, right? :p

Secondly, it'd be helpful to know which card you currently have to figure out if it's worth it. :)

I was playing WoW with a 7600 at moderate settings for a good long while and it worked just fine I never noticed any issues with game play and I was doing some decent raiding MC, ZG, and the rare BWL.

It should hold you over!!

Yeah, you should not have touched the X16xx series from Ati. They are lemons. You should have opted for a 7600GS or a 7600GT, they run way quieter and cooler while giving you better performance. They are not as power hungry as well.

yea...its definitely more of an ati thing. i dont know why i ever ventured from nvidia...

its still in the air whether im gonna get a new agp card, wait for the drivers to update, or just sit on the whole thing til i build my next rig.
