I was wondering if anyone knew how to copy a ISO to a DMG, or, how to rip a dvd into a DMG. I've google searched, but didn't find much.

You would have to extract the iso 1st. burn with nero image or use somthing like iso commander or iso buster. the extention would make me think the iso may be a picture and you want to convert to a cad file. need more info.

I have the original DVD the ISO came from, but I havn't been able to find a way to copy a DVD to a DMG.

Diroga: I'm attempting to take a program install disc into a DMG so that I examine and edit the files. For all you people who like to yell pirate every time someone says ISO, this game will not run with a copy of the DVD, it only will work on the original.

lol, I dont cry pirate. In fact I am a pirate by the forum rules. I ask what you are doing to see maybe there is a different way to solve the problem than disk image mashing around.

...do you legaly own the game?....

There are methods to play games without the CD. I know how to do it on windows. I am not sure if there is a Mac equivolent.

DMGs and ISOs are the same standard, rename the file extension, and you are done. Also, OS X supports both, so you can burn both in disk utility.

DMG files use the standard ISO anyways. Renaming the extension from .dmg to .iso should fix the issue.
