Help, I just installed Ubuntu on Drive D. I have WinXP on Drive C.

After the installation and system restart, I can't get nothing to boot. Error message: "No boot device found..." or something like that... :(

assume that ur BIOS setting is set to boot into ur C drive, now change ur harddisk first boot device to ur D drive. this should work

^ Indeed. If GRUB was not installed, then nothing will load.

I'm just going to make an Installation Tutorial I think. This is a lot of Ubuntu questions all of a sudden (yay! Open Source:D). Hopefully a nice Install Guide will help out some folks who want to try it.

That is def. a good idea. I tried to get the latest (gutsy gibon 7.10) a first try the other day but it wouldnt detect the CD....

Random side question: Do you think i could get Gutsy to run on the LAST pc in my sig #3 ?

7.10 requires 384 MB to run via Live CD, so you have the exact requirements RAM-wise. Your CPU may be too slow for it's liking though. I think you would have better luck with Xubuntu on that system.

Please do! I just installed Ubuntu on a "media server" and have some questions!

After I finish updating, I'll see if this thing is working properly!

I guess I need to install a boot loader... I keep getting missing NTLDR...
Gonna see if I can figure this out. But don't be afraid to tell me how! :)

Yeah, can't get it to work without booting from a CD first. It seems as though I missed a step somewhere!
