Ok, I had a Dang good gateway that was only 1 year old. Almost to the day. House burned on Dec. 8. So now, I get to Buy another laptop. I was actually able to save the hard drive from the melted gateway. I had to get by the security permmisions and it took 13 hours to copy.
Now, I am willing to spend up to about $1200 on a new one. I am mainly wanting to know what the fastest processor is that I can get with a laptop. I think Intel is getting stupid with the amount of choices these days. I'm looking for atleast:
2.2 Ghz Processor
2 GB ram
160 GB Hard drive
Non-shared video
DVD write everything
Wide screen
Bluetooth
and xp would be great. but think i'll have to do that myself.
Oh.. and not Sony or HP/Compaq
