Ps3 on the way!

Im getting a Ps3 in the next couple of days,It could be here wednesday so i need some answers about the Ps3 please.

1)Can i just connect my Ethernet cable from my pc to the ps3 so i can play online?

2)How would i connect the Ps3 to my 19" Belinea Widescreen LCD monitor?
it only has VGA lead.

Im all set to play the new Gta when it comes out now.

the ps3 has built in wireless if you can make use of that. As far as running a cable from your pc to your ps3 I know there is an option in Windows that will do this you will just need the proper hardware(an extra ethernet port)


to hook up a ps3 to a vga you'll need a converter for hdmi I'm not sure if the ps3 has any other way to hook it up video wise

hi redbull,

Unfurtunatly i dont have wireless but i prefer wired connections anyways.
the Ps3 will be on the pc desk anyway so i dont need to run a long cable,Thats why i want to run my pc of my lcd screen ;)

so im guessing il need some type of Vga splitter or something am i right?

Go to ebay and type ps3 vga. They have alot of component (red green and blue) to vga boxes. They look like they would do the trick perfect, and they're not too expensive either.

if you want to run the same cable back and forth to your ps3 and pc, you are gonna hve to reset the modem everytime you unplug it to refresh it

Guys,

i got the ps3,But first i thought i would try it out on the tv downstairs whch has a scart socket but the tv did not pick the ps3 picture up :confused:

also im aware i have to get some sort of Hdmi to vga swicher box to use it on my monitor but i was told that i cant connect it to my Lcd moniter unless its hdmi?

wtf surely this isnt true?
