sp2 p2p problems

i can't get any p2p sharing programs to work on my hp zd8000 with windows xp pro sp2...even though i install the patches and such to make it work....what needs to be done?

Stupid question but have you turned of the windows firewall (sp2 turns it back on by default)

Lots of people have trouble using p2p and sp2, i did so i just uninstalled it.

sp2 is a pain

what exactly are the big benefits of sp2? just the firewall? I've found sp2 to be annoying regarding software.

ive never found any problem with it, i just dont have it slip streamed yet, so i dont have it installed. it has more security with it. and with most p2p programs, they offer a patch and other advice for sp2 problems

I would still go with LimeWire. So far i have no viruses/spyware from it, and the speed is awesome (depending on the server tho). At times if im downloading multiple files, the total speed can total up to 300 kb/s ;)
