i dont think you can do much in all honesty, i mean the video card is a little weak and as far as i know laptop video cards are not upgradeable

Hmm idk how much MB that video car has, but if he says its not good...

What you could do is upgrade ram, but other than that your stuck with that.

I would highly recommend a new laptop, since you can't upgrade the video cards in laptops; hence a waste of time trying to upgrade a laptop.

I would suggest the laptop in my sig.

haha, yeah i wanted to go all out with the xps m1730 or soemthing like that, but it was too big and attractive for college... soo i got the M1530.

By your specs that laptop must be quite good.

seems... idk crappy.

I meant crappy in the way it looks.

Laptops are not supposed to be elite gaming machines. It not worth getting a top of the range laptop just to game, because with that amount of money you can get an even better desktop. Laptops are such limited overclocking capabilities and cooling is really bad.

judging by the fact that you have 959 mb of ram, your video card has shared memory. You should go into the bios and change the amount of memory for the video card to higher.

Changing the video card of a laptop is risky business, unless its easy to extract, some you have to basically tear up your motherboard to let the GPU free.

Though I didn't know some allowed GPU upgrades, thats a plus. But you should upgrade your ram as well
