Setting up RAID 0 Without Starting from Scratch?

I'm making plans to build a Windows Home Server box. Since I'll have nightly backups of all of my systems, I'd like to take advantage of RAID 0 in my main desktop system. But I'd like to do it without have to start from scratch. Here's what I'm wondering: is it possible for me to build the server, back up my computer, set up the RAID 0, and then restore the image to the RAID 0 setup, or will this not work?

i backedup a raid 0 to a raid 0 with no problem. although i've heard norton ghost arent compatible with just every raid controller. you'll just have to do some research on whether it'll detect the one you're using.

of course single ide drives and externals will be no problem.

It won't work. Sorry. Create the array and reinstall windows on the array.
