I have and old Sony Vio and the cooling fan has started making noise. The fan in it is a AVC c9025s12h. Its a 52cfm 34DB fan. The mounting holes are 3 1/4 inches center to center and the case is 3 5/8 in square. What would the best fan be to replace this with without cutting or drilling new holes? Maybe more CFM if poss.

Do you have a picture of the fan, also, can you measuer it, from one corned to another, down one of the sides...

So we know what size it is :)

I'm not too up with inches, but according to Google;

(3 5/8) inches = 9.2075 centimeters

Hmmm, I'd take a guess and says it's a 90mm fan, it would be best for you to measuer it and double check though ;)

How much are you looking to speend and what are you after, LED's, Silence or Performance?

Well the one that was in it was 34DB when on high. Really didnt bother me that much. I was just looking for alittle more cfm and a good quality fan even though this one lasted me about seven years. I guess I can always order the same one!

You could do if you wanted, did it work well?

But, it'd really help if you meansured the fan, so we knew what size it is, exactly...

Measure it's width or length, from corner to corner :)

Width from corner to corner is 95mm
Length from corner to corner is 95mm
It is completly square
What is the best name brand fan to buy?

Thanks for all the replys!!! Just a couple more Questions.

1-- Im thinkng about installing a PCI slot fan to go along with my rear case fan. The case fan hooks up to my motherboard and there is no other fan connection on the motherboard. If I get the spliter harness and hook both to the motherboard will I have any problems?

2-- Im also thinking about installing a Harddrive fan. There is a free 4 wire power connection coming off my power supply. Can I hook the HD fan to this? And if I do, will the fan run even if the computer is shut down?

Just dont want my system running hot! Had to replaced the hard drive awhile back and Im thinking it was due to heat build up.

I dont think a PCI fan would plug into the mobo, it'd probably need a 4 pin molex connector.

The hard drive fan would use a 4 pin molex connect. You piggy back it into you hard drive. So it'd go; power supply > hard drive fan > hard drive.

And no, it'd turn off with the computer.

Hope this helps :)
