What Are These (drives?) On This Dinosaur PC? Just out of curiousity...

Here is a very, very old PC that I ran across in Google Images from iStockPhoto--a very old tower, probably the very 1st in the 1980s. It isn't ancient as it has a CD drive and a modern 3 1/2" floppy. However, I feel terrible (as I am supposed to be the know it all with the modern PC) not knowing what the two drive-looking thingies that are above the CD-ROM drive? Old folks previously (or still in the computer industry) might be a great help.

They're swapable hard drives. Probably not exactly "hot-swap", just an IDE, maybe SCSI...

Yea those should be lift up handles to pull them out from the front.
