Safe Temp

I just build a new computer and planned to overclock it but i have some questions about my temperature. What is a safe temp for idle and load stress for a Q6600 cpu.
Also I'm curious as what temperature you guys have at stock and then at OC. Please tell me your cpu and mobo temp.

I used intel thermal analysis tool and it shows that my cpu at idle is at 28c and 36c load. Using an Tuniq Tower 120 to cool my cpu and Noctua nc-u6 to cool my NB chipset.
Oh and mobo is a XFX 680i LT sli and my cpu is Q6600.

Those are great temps, especially for that cpu. At 3.25 ghz (up from 2.33), my 6550 is running at 22 ish idle, and goes up to about 40 for load, but im in a cold basement :D.

I just added 2 scythe ultra kaze fans (2000RPM) and got the temp at around 25 idle to 34-36 load. Also added a Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 8800 VGA Cooler for my 8800 gtx graphic card and got the temp lower to 38c idle and 52 load. But man my computer sounds like a turbo jet engine. I need quieter system fans. Any suggestion?

CoolerMaster makes good fans. They start at $7-8-ish on Newegg for 120mm ones.

I took my 120mm Logisys fan out the other day and you can barely hear my system now from as close as two feet away. I have a 120mm CM fan that is whisper quiet. Only 1200 RPM, but moves a surprisingly good deal of air. I have 4 fans total in the system and it's all good.
