correction:

All macbook pros come with a Super drive not a combo drive, unless you BTO your macbook with that option. I don't think that there is an option for that.
Yes thanks for correction, Wrote this at 2am
nice! i love macbook pro's! my science teacher has like 3 (2 prev gen and 1 new current gen) and i played with them and love them! wayyyy over priced, but hey, if you can afford it, congrats to you! ill be posting a review of my lappy tomorrow.
Cool. Pics of mine are coming way soon I just need to upload them to photobucket.
What's mac like for gaming?
Well windows runs great so gaming is brilliant I still have to install my orange box and lost planet yet.
not to steal his thread, but an 8600M GT 512MB would be great for gaming on the go (since the 8400M GS is pretty good already).

Kill Bill, can you do a 1mb SuperPi test on ur MBP?
I'll search for what that means but eh it gives brilliant Fast Graphics, I would have went for an alienware if apple were selling the 256mb version as I need good vRam.
lol another mac user woot jkes
Hehe. I kicked former Sony out the window.
ugh. i hate macs with a passion because they cost so much and i hate the feel of the os itself, but the specs you listed are pretty nice.

good review too, it seemed well thought-out.
Eh thanks but it wasn't a review it was just a sneek peek of a big review.

Posting Pictures ATM.
Un-boxing video sucked so Im just making a small promo
Review coming soon

I think someone needs a tripod:p

jk, I realize theres no tripod for phones. I see you have one of those fanless cooling mat things. We sell them at our store, but I've had any experience with them. How is it?

Thats a nice laptop, though I personally wouldn't go for one. I dunno, I just don't like the looks of the macbooks, too simplistic looking. Plus I'm a sucker for shiny(especially piano black *drool*)

Jeez, all these laptop reviews, I'm tempted to put up a review of mine (since I have a feeling no one else would dare to post a review on a dell:p)

The mat is fine but I'm going to get one with fans as the laptop is quite(even when playing latest games) And the macBook Pro actually is very shiny and I might phone the computer painters to paint my MBP Black if I want.

Dude, with pod cast capture, you can capture screen movement, no need to take pics with a digital camera.

So it does a decent job of keeping the macbook cool? I have a fanned mat and it lowers my temperatures by quite a bit.

When I mean shiny I mean like super glossy. My mom has a black macbook, and it looks alright, but again, super simplistic design and matte black*puke*(though it is much better than the matte white).

I didn't know there were places to paint computers, haha. It sounds expensive, especially for a laptop. I'd suggest piano black, like this

dOES the macbook pro have a big laser eye that pops out of the isight and takes a picture of the entire machine? I'm very mislead by your comment

No with pod cast capture, which should be under /Applications/Utilities, you can capture what you do with your screen. So, say you wanted to make a quick how to video on using a utility. You can use screen capture to record what you are doing in your desktop in video format (or screen shots) then take it into imovie and edit it and add voice over to the whole thing.

It basically allows you to make custom pod casts. Pretty neat stuff.

OMG Really. I must use that for my video review Gasps! Tries it out later. Currently working on bootcamp installing my video games. I partioned my 250GB in half. My Vista Has 65.5GB Left. My Mac OS 10 Has 91GB. I cant wait to get that 1TB External Drive To stick all my big 1920x1080 Final Cut Express files on.

Yup, and this summer when I upgrade every server to 10.5 I will be making some pod cast servers so teachers and students can do lessons and projects via podcasting over the network. Should be real fun, just hope I can get enough HD space to house all the media files.

I've seen several of my friends tote around Mac laptops, and I must admit they are pretty flashy. I wouldn't mind owning one. They are a change up from Windows and all that, which is fun.

Hehe If I went on the MacBook Pro 10hrs a day (which I almost already do) I would most likely spend:
4 hours in boot camp playing games (vista ultimate 32bit)
6 hours in mac os 10 for the guess what reason.
