OCZ DDR3 2000 running at DDR3 1333?

For some reason my ram is only running at DDR3 1333 @ 1.5v. I crank up the voltage to 1.95 and up the frequency to DDR3 2000 and it won't start up! What gives?!

Maybe the vcore on the CPU is to low? I'm at 1.232 - 1.24v @ 3.4ghz.

lovely?

can you give me a link to your motherboard?

EDIT: nevermind, i found it. there are two conditions for it to be running at that speed though. first off, it needs to have EPP (the ram) and second, that speed can only be reached by overclock.

Epp?

EPP stands for enhanced performance profile. im not positive on the inner workings of it but if the manufacturer says you need it for that speed then you need it.

but then again, ddr3 1800MHZ is also very very fast, why dont you try that?

You know when you raised your FSB to overclock, it shows yours at 3.5ghz. It overclocks your memory too. So if you have your memory set to 2000 in your bios it being way overclocked, it is probably one reason its not booting and will at 1333

CPU-Z shows my memory at 641mhz DRAM Frequency

Max Bandwidth is PC3-10700h (667mhz)

Doesn't that mean it's at stock speeds?

hey!!! i have an xfx 790i ultra sli ocz 2000mhz ddr3 yes they do have the epp 2.0 that requires for the memory to reach 2000mhz but i also have the same problem that u have the thing is that in my bios some how is not detecting the epp 2.0 dont know why may need to contact xfx to see if they have an answer to that.. now u can go above 1333mhz by linking the cpu to the memory and overclock ur cpu but i require for u to not over exceed in overclocking... i have a plentium 965 extreme edition cpu that is stock at 3.73ghz and i succesfully overclock it to 4.5ghz and it bus my memory to 805mhz but if u look at ur bios after saving the overclock setting the 1333mhz will change my memory when up to 1558 witch is better that nothing ....is pretty fast and i havent had a problem yet... for more info try to contact evga or ocz to see what else can u do!!! hope this give u a idea.

xfx 790i ultra sli
4gb ocz3 ddr3 2000mhz with epp 2.0
1 zotac geforce 8800 Gtx Amp! Edition
Ultra Chill Cpu Cooler ...nice recommended!!! 4.5Ghz cpu at 40C to 42C
Intel Pentium D 3.73Ghz 965 Exteme Edition ... overclock to 4.5Ghz With Ultra Chill!!! guarantee!!

Not only your voltage, it could have something to do with your timming. Go in and set the voltage and timming manually to what its suppost to be at stock 1000/2000. Since it defaulted at 667 the auto timming might be set to low to boot at 1000

Looks t the timming specs on the RAM sticks. What I'd do would be this:

Look at the timmings, loosen them by raising them. Use selected voltage, raise the RAM FSB to 2000. Also, bump CPU FSB also. That could help from the big gap between both.
