First Computer Build(Need Advice!!)

I have had my computer for about 8 years old now and I've had to take it to shops to get it fixed too many times. I want to get a new computer and make it myself. I do have someone to help me assemble it. I have the case, motherboard, processor, and RAM picked out so far, but now what do i need. I will be using this computer for light gaming, web surfing, and multimedia. I'm ordering my stuff off of newegg.com so try and keep the stuff there. I do want maximum life out of this computer so I do want to keep everything cool. I don't have an unlimited budget, but I do want the best for my buck. I plan on running Windows XP for my operating system. These are the parts I have so far and I don't want them changed so please try to work around them.

8800gs or 8800gt should be perfect for you, they are good for light to moderately heavy gaming.

You will need a power supply unit. 500 watts or so if you don't want to overclock. Also, since you are building new, and want this system to last a while, don't hesitate to go to 4 gb of ram. ddr2 is very inexpensive now and it's a worthwhile upgrade IMO.

You will also need a hard drive (make sure it's 7200 rpm, 3.0gb/s sata, and 16 or 32 mb of cache) as well as a dvd burner or dvd-drive depending on your needs.

Since you stated you are mostly going to be doing only light gaming then this video card is plenty for you. You will still be able to play all the games though at respectable frame rates. You might want to go with the extra RAM though it isn't really needed unless you're using 64 bit OS, which you might want to upgrade to Vista in the future since you want this computer to be in use for awhile. That case I chose looks similar to the one you chose except this one is cheaper and from the reviews, better. (looks better too IMO :)) PSU has great reviews and should look great in that case. 550W with 2 12v rails should be plenty power for your setup unless you're looking to go dual GPU setup. Should be fine with the quad processors though. There is a 600W version if you want to check that out.

You probably also want to look into a GPU cooler and CPU cooler also, as they will help keep your computer healthy for years to come.

good build.

If you want you can get an Asus p5k or a Gigabyte p35-ds3l and save the extra few bucks on an 8800gs.

I would also go with ddr2-800 (pc6400) instead of the ddr2-1000 (if it's any cheaper)

The antec 900 is an excellent case but is loud as hell. It's a great choice, provided you don't mind the noise.
