    PLEASE help with RAID drive!

If the array is degraded in any way, you've pretty much lost everything with RAID 0. The partition being raw means that the previous partition was deleted. If it was only the partition, but the array has remained intact, there's a good possibility of running some sort of partition recovery...

    WDS over WAN?????

I'm sure you could set up a VPN and accomplish what you're looking to do. I'm definitely not the guy you want to ask for advice on how do to that, however.

    Laptop

What operating system? It looks like it shipped with XP originally, but I don't know if that's still the OS you're running? Gateway has the drivers for XP right on their site: Gateway Support

Need help with mother board questions!

Laptops are a compketely different animal when it comes to form factors. They don't follow ATX standards, or something similar. They're proprietary to each manufacturer, and usually different, even between different models from the same manufacturer. You would need to obtain parts from...

    Random startup problems.

Memtest86 If you set up quick boot in your BIOS, does it POST? You could have a failing stick, bad/failing power supply, or possibly a corrupted BIOS (though that's probably unlikely).

    Need Admin Rights

There's ways around a BIOS password, but we need to know what brand it is (but I'm not sure we're allowed to post them openly here). The Windows password we can't post how to bypass, unfortunately.

    Incredibly strange network issue

Quick question, but do you have DHCP turned on? I had a Linksys router that would freak and when assigning an IP to another system, and other ones would lose connectivity during that time. I reserved the IP in the router's DHCP, but also set up a static IP with that system and it seemed to...

USB Adaptor (Linksys) cannot find home network

Is your router an 802.11N specification, by chance? Sometimes they'll be configured for something like "N-only" and thus, a B or G adapter may not be able to connect. Also, do you have the SSID enabled?

    Bit change

Do you mean in terms of an operating system? 32 bit software will run on a 64 bit OS (sometimes there are compatibility issues), but 64 bit will not run on 32 bit. If you're asking how to upgrade one OS to another, it's not possible. You would need to reinstall.

    Laptop went out

Does it work with an external monitor? Could be the backlight for the LCD panel.

    Libre Office getting over haul.

I have Office 2007 that I got cheap through my college bookstore, but I'm definitely interested in Libre Office. I'm hoping they decide to release an Android version that I can install on my tablet. I got the thing, really to be my go-to for college classes, but have yet to use it for that...

    Mac OS for my laptop

Typical hardware from the PC manufacturers is superior to that of Apple's laptops. They sell older, dated hardware for extended periods of time, versus the PC manufacturers keeping up with technology. I'm not really certain where you got that information, but the hardware is essentially...

suggest how to block hacking WiFi networks

I'm not sure what you mean? Someone is hacking into your WiFi? Use WPA2 AES security on your router and turn off the SSID in your router. You can also limit access by MAC address, too (though spoofing a MAC is possible). If you use a pre-shared key, change it semi-regularly, especially if...

    Old PCI network still usable?

I have an 11 year old NIC (don't recall the brand, but I purchased it in 2000, at the same time that I got my Slot A Athlon 600MHz!) and Windows 7 recognized and installed it no problem. Can't hurt to try?

    cybercafe server!!

It'd probably be cheaper to run thin clients and virtualize the whole place, if you don't already have systems purchased. A thin client that works on RDP would work just fine and you can honestly get used ones cheap on eBay. You really don't need to worry too much about the processor speed in...

    website domain

First you need to register a domain name with a registrar. I personally used Godaddy.com, but there's thousands of others out there. I've seen another one listed here that was cheaper than Godaddy, but I can't think of the name of the site off hand. After that, you'll need to either get...

Can't change OS on HP Pavilion dv6

I'd DBAN/Killdisk the drive and give it another shot. Did the BIOS get affected by the virus at all? Reflashing the BIOS might not be a bad idea, as well, even if it's the same revision.

    CF Greasemonkey Themes

The beauty of having multiple skins is that they could choose which skins they wanted to use, or it could also be limited by usergroup (vBulletin.org mod). I'm not really sure how to accomplish a change like that otherwise. It's well beyond my abilities. :)
