    The i5 should be able to handle CAD. My brother had a Gateway with a Core2Duo that he used during his engineering/CAD classes and it seemed to work, no problem. Thing just continually ate hard drives, but it was a Gateway...:gun:

    Laptop upgraded to Windows 7 - Problems

    x86, or x64? The Acer website appears to have several drivers listed for Windows 7, in both the 32 and 64 bit flavors. It does have the card reader and webcam drivers listed for both versions that I see, but nothing for the CD/DVD. That should be supported from the drivers within Windows 7...
