I have an i7 stock cooler and the heatsink is twice as large as the i5. It's just too bad that 1366 is a little bigger than 1156.

The corei5 stock heat sink is garbage! You can't O.C. well with it. At stock I have had troubles with high temps and O.C. just makes it worse without voltage increases. Pick up better heatsink if you plan to get to 4GHz.

Man I hope ATI drops thier prices a bunch when these release so I can pick up a 5850 for cheap for my new build.

5870 just like everyone else said. I posted just in case you got confused and decided to go with the 285, which is way overpriced.

what a piece of junk this thing is. I jsut build a computer with a core i5 750 and if i clock this thing up to 3.5Ghz it goes above 100C at stock voltage. Useless thing is so bad, I wish it was just like the core i7 coolers. Anyways, has anyone had any experiance with this heatsink...

From my understanding the Nvidia GX 400s do not have a dedicated chip to tesselation like ATI does. So if you incrase AA and AF the performace would take a larger hit. So it could be very very close to the 5870. He leaves AA and AF at default in the video.

I am pretty sure there are 300 series coming out but they are rebadged 200 series with smaller components and less heat yada yada yada

From what I recall the i5 750 is better. both CPUs are pretty even but the i5 takes it by a bit. the only difference is that I don't think Socket 1156 is as futureproof as AM3. With Thuban (6 core CPU) coming out in a month and Bulldozer (AMDs supposed answer to intel for CPU dominance) coming...

Only those 2 games? Because it doesn't seem like micro stuttering. I play tons of games and never get microstuttering. Are you playing online? Could be your firewall, I've seen games where the firewall needs to allow the game or else in stutters. Happened to me with empire total war.

I wish I had the C3 965 I can only get to 3.9, I've been so close to 4Ghz stable, SOOO close but I just couldn't keep it there. :( Good Luck with yours.
