plus if your overclock only raised you that much in the benchmark, then the cpu is whats holding down your score. try overclocking that :)

you have good case fans, an amazing cpu cooler, and 45C being your motherboard temps rules out your bedroom being the cause to make the processor that hot. id reapply the paste, but as thin as possible.

you would rebuild the failed drive in your raid controller. youd replace the drive, and go into the settings and rebuild the raid. your motherboard might support it, if not you'd have to get a raid controller

it depends what games you plan on playing and the rest of your system. a 8600gt can run most games at medium specs at 1680x1050. newer games would have to be turned down a good bit, but that doesnt mean you cant get a nicer card later :) sounds to me like graphics card issues. have you tried...

its only a 17" lcd. 1600x1200 is a pretty big resolution for a 17" so i wouldnt be surprised if the monitor cant simply run it.

at levels 20+ id have to say the good spots are the electric fence by the electric room area on the balcony, or the small room you can open downstairs by the quick revive machine that only has one doorway. its a great spot.
