i have it stable at 3.41 with just the +50mv. its at 1.34 volts. last night i left it at 3.5ghz and 1.34volts and this morning it was alittle glitchy in itunes so i set it back to 3.41. what do you think, should i push it to +100mv and set it back to 3.5, or try to push more or anything...

turn off cool 'n quiet and have fun with your multipliers n stuffs. mine is in a am2+ socket and running 3.41 ghz from the 2.8 stock, 42 idle 61 load

screw that i played with the bios and upped the frequency to 245 at 14x multiplier... and it stayed stable through 3dmark on air! woo!

gah it was a stupid windows issue. went to msconfig, "boot" tab, advanced options, and unchecked the "number of processors" box. it worked hope anyone else going through the same issue reads this

not too bad eh? finally got a processor that can feed my gtx275 (720 mhz oc) going to run amd overdrive since my bios only lets me do 7% overclock. hopefully i can push to 3.4 or so, its running darn cold at 3.0ghz im excited!

had that shut off awhile ago btw its overclocked 7% to 3.0ghz if that makes a difference. when i had it stock clocked it still didnt read all 4

my comp is only reading 2 of my 4 cores. the device manager is the only instance where the 4 come up, but dxdiag says 2 cores, task manager says core 0 and 1, but the computer reads it as a phenom 2 920 x4 newest bios version, just downloaded the newest chipset drivers. whats going on?

im hoping so. i love amd's price/performance ratio. but if they dont compare, and id spend roughly 200 more for a better processor and mobo than i would on a new amd chip and mobo... then so be it. intel will have me sold

no you see my next upgrade i hope to be whatever the next generation of phenoms are. so it will be awhile anyways

well, i ended up getting it. i wasnt worried on upgrades, ddr2 1066 is cheap and my board supports it. that will be my next upgrade. by the time i do a significant upgrade, i was planning on upgrading the processor anyways so... lets hope im satisfied with the results! wish me luck haha

nah i dont plan on factoring that into this. i have the money to buy it and im prepared to, but only if i will see a significant change with my same system otherwise. i also plan to overclock.
