wow, sorry to hear about your loss. good luck finding a computer nowadays without vista on it though... if it were ME, i would look into a thinkpad. theyve got lots of options for upgrades, what you want/dont want, etc.

you cant use xp twice, unless you pirated a serial key or something. i tend to think your laptop is slow because of the shit they load consumer computers with, though...vista boots fine for me...takes about 3 seconds to load after login. and my computers pretty antiquated at this point...
