thanks. I just went and got the game knowing it was at about the min requirements and it does run a bit choppy at 1024x768... barely playable, but its good enough i suppose. I didn't expect much with a 4 year old lappy anywho.

Is anyone else planning on playing FEAR 3? Its one of the only game series that I've followed closely, and I'm pretty excited. Also, do you think the comp in my sig can play it on an acceptable level?

Not sure what you mean. My goal is to be able to put it back without restarting. Its just a pain to reboot when somebody wants something off the drive. Any more ideas?

Yes. All three ports get the same result. When I plug it in, it still gives the windows "do-duh" sound like it's being detected (and i see it in the Safely Remove window). However, it doesn't show up as a drive in My Computer.

It doesn't show up in Disk Management when I plug it back in. I assigned it a drive letter (R:\) when I first got the hard drive.

Media Player Classic and Vegas Pro 8.0 for editing. Its a bit choppy in both.

I went and filmed some boats in the bay earlier this week and the video came out really nice. Definitely a nice camera, but the bit rate is so high for my laptop :P I can hardly play back the video at a decent rate. This one should last a while :D
