Thanks guys. I was feeling a bit scared and my daughter was really worried too but you've put my mind at rest. Also my colleague says that I should put it in writing to them saying its their responsibility as it went missing from the school and theres no way it would have cost that much etc...

The reason I ask is because my daughter has lost her laptop. It was stolen from the classroom. They are asking us to pay over £300 for it. Would they really have paid that much for it? It was Samsung. What should I do? TIA
